About Us

Masjid Al Madinah

The mosque is significant within the Muslim community and is the principle public building in Islam. As a gift to the Muslim community of Southern California from Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Fahad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Minister of State and Cabinet. Member, provided funding for the land, (1993) and King Fahad pledged funds for the construction of the building (1995). It will serve as both a religious and educational center for Muslims and non-Muslims, worldwide.

DAWA & OUTREACH

Our Outreach programs organize and offer courses for all ages and groups. Our Dawa initiatives are geared towards Muslims all over Alberta. We also collaborate with large Muslim organizations to support their work in Canada and overseas.

VOLUNTEERS

Share your time, skills and energy in making Edmonton and Al Rashid Mosque a better place. Your efforts will serve thousands of families and individuals. Training is provided to volunteers when required.

ISLAMIC & QURAN STUDIES

The Quran Institution was established in September of 2011. Imam Al Shatibi is currently one of the biggest Educational programs at Al Rashid Mosque. Today there are over 600 registered students in part time learning varying between the ages of 7 and 80.

NEW TO ISLAM

This programs offer new Muslims and non-Muslims the opportunity to learn the basics of Islam in a social environment where they get to openly ask questions and connect with community members.

Whether you are a Muslim or want to learn about Islam, this centre offers information about Islam, e-books, and trusted websites that have information about Islam. Find all the information you need.
